My grandmother passed away last week (Friday, March 13, 2020) in the late-night hours. She was 76 years old. I was very close to her.
God gave me the opportunity to spend time with her at her house during last summer. I was working heavy hours at the time at a retail store. I would often work Sundays, and for nine months, I would miss Sunday dinners. However, God allowed me to spend time with her. Her funeral was this past Saturday, March 21st, 2020, at Creston Hills Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
As far as my diet, I have been eating a lot. Yet, I weighed myself today. I weighed 282.2 pounds, which is a gain of 3 pounds since the start of the year. I weighed 279.2 pounds at the start of the year.
I couldn’t go to the gym, because the gym was closed. And, I can’t go to the library. Also, schools are closed in Oklahoma, too. So, I am limited to walking in the neighborhood.
Oklahoma Christian University is nearby. So, I am going to go walk on the track. The track is 2.5 miles. It is almost a 5K, but I am training for a 5K (probably the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon in October that got rescheduled due to the virus. I have about six months to train for the race.
Since daylight savings time allows for the sun to be out a little longer, I would have time to exercise on the track, around the neighborhood, or at the gym when the gym opens after the coronavirus has decreased in cases.
I weighed today 282.2 pounds on the scale. On Saturday, March 17, 2020, I weighed 287 pounds. So, I lost almost five pounds in six days, which is good.
