September 11, 2001: A Reflection

Today is the day when the world remembers the horrific events of September 11, 2001. Twenty-five years have passed. I remember the event unfolding in front of my eyes during Pre-AP World History. Someone turned the television on, and a hijacked plane flew into the World Trade Center.

I was so hurt, because I felt like I lost a friend. I remember going to New York City with my family in March 1995 to a church conference. I saw someone who preached a very inspiring and vivid message. And, I will never forget him.

So many lives were lost on September 11th, 2001. So many lives were lost almost six years earlier on April 19, 1995, in the Oklahoma City Bombing.

As we gather together to reflect, I am personally fundraising for health and veterans’ charities. Please donate to these health and veterans’ charities that need help. For your donation, you get a tax deduction. Any amount is appreciated.

I am walking a 5K every day in September in memory of these brave people who lost their lives in senseless tragedies.
This is for America. This is for the world. I will post my results, at the end of the month on my research site. Thank you.

Jennifer
